The opening addresses of the Asso ciation will be given Monday evening, Dec, 29th, by the out-going and incoming Presidents. Evv-ry teacher will bt specially interested in riie following lectures by persons of national reputation: On “ i’he Moral Education of the Young,” by Rev. O,'C, McCulloch of Indianapolis; on “Learning to Do by Doing,” by Col.'Franois W. Parker, author of tho “Talks on Teaching” used in our Beading Cirol s on the “Philosophy of Teaching,” by E. E White, author of White’s Arithmetic, and on “Womanhood in Shakespeare,” by Wallace Biuce, of New York. teachers, attending these associa.-. lioDs form an acquaintance with the leading educators of file State, learn their methods of thinking and doing and become enthused with the spirit of their profession. Those who des’re to attend Irom this county can go ane return at any time between Deo, 29th, and Jan Ist, inclusive The R. R. will sell tickets to teachers between these dates at the rate of 2 cents per mile, Hotel rates to members or tho association will be from $1.50 to ?2,50 per day.
