| At a meeting of the school board ! of the school town of Rensselaer, held July 14th, A. D. 1884. at the office of Dr. L B. Washburn, the following teachers were employed for the coming school year, to wit: Professor Phillip H. Kirsh, Superior tendect- Miss Margaret M, Hall, of Carthage lud., teacher of the High School, Miss Sarah E. Farney, of Auburn Iod„ teacher of the Third Grammer. Miss Amanda W. Osbum, teacher of the Second Gramm"r. Miss Mary J. Cox, of Plainfield, lud* teacher or the First Grammer. Miss May Miller, teacher of the Second Primary, Miss Alice Irwin, teacner of the First Primary.
The tnree new teachers employed by the Board, are all teachers of experience. graduates of the State Normal School, and come well recommended. Of rhe Superintendent and three old teachers, who have been reemployed, nothing need be said their school work in the past in this place will speak tor them. Unless others wise ordered, school n 11l commence on the first Monday in September; this year the first day of September, and' will continue in session for nine montns. with a short vacation during the holidays, and perhaps one week vacation between ihe winter and spring terms. We have a new and com modious school building, a gobd corps of teachers, and all who are attached to the school should e in. attendance, on the first day of thejterm. and continue there every day during the session of school, unless prevented by sickness or some unavoidable accident, Those not attached for sohoo l purposes and desiring to at tend can do so for a very am 11 consideration.
