Col. J. O. P. Burnside, Disbursing Clerk of the Postoffice Department has hecn removed on the charge of converting $45,000 of the nation's money to his own use. There is a warrant out for his arrest. The banking house of D. W. Middleton & Co. has suspended payment. The captal of the concern was $400,000, and the liabilities are nearly $500,000. The heaviest creditor Is Mrs. Hutchinson, who had about SIOO,000 on deposit.
