The Hare and the Chipmunk.

But you are not s very mad one are yon. ” “Oh, no,” replied the Hare, grinning] “I’ve all my wits about me, as you will presently perceive. ” And at that mo 1 ment the dogs burst through the bushes and pounced upon the poor Chipmunk who exclaimed with his last breath) “What a fine thing it is to be smart That gray Hare will .never go down with sorrow to the grave.” —St Nichl olas.
