Mr. Andrew Lungquist, Logansport, was cured of Poor App tite, Bad Stomach, and Pain in the Back by Browu’s Iron Bitters. The entertainment of the “Comets” Minstrels, Wednesday evening, at the Opera. House, was a success, and gave unqualified, satisfaction. Miss' Jessie French daughter of the editor of the Kentland Gazette, is visiting Rensselaer, the guests of Misses Della and Hattie Hopkins. Rev. Gilbert Small will praach at the Bowling Green School. Honse, on the first Sabbath of July, at 3 p. m.— At Rensselaer on same day at 10:30 A. Excursion Rates.— The L,, N. A- & C. RR. will sell Round Trip tickets from all stations, to all stations, on July 3d and 4th, good returning until July stb, at the rate of two cents per mile for entire distance traveled.
Yesterday the “Comets” of this place receiv -d a telegram from the Michigan City Base Ball Club inviting them to a contest at that city, and agreeing to allow our boys per cent, of gate receipts.
