All Troubles Adjusted, anil L. N-A. & C. Takes Control at Once.

Indianapolin Journal. Louisville, Feb. 1. — A full and final settlement has been affected by the Louisville New Albany k Chicago Railroad Comj any, with the Crawford syndicate, by which the latter to-day gave formal possession of 158 miles of new road to the former. This new road extends from Indianapolis to Chicago, is an air line, and was built by Henry Crawford for the Louisville,’New Albany k Chicago Company. The terms on which ths company accepted the work are intirely satisfactory to Vice-presi-dent Standiford and his associates, who regard this acquistion to their thriving systems ns of the utmost importance. Trains will be placed on the lines at once, the .company* having secured additional rolling stock in anticipation of the new acquisition. The road will be know as the Indianapolis division of the Louisville, New Albany and Chicago, is thirty miles shorter than other now existing between Indianapolis and Chicago, and goes through a richer country. The management is much elated and looks forward to increased value in their property, because of the splendid prospects of the new line.
