The Louisville, New Albany & Chicago road will this month receive four more first-class passenger engines. ~J. E. Reeves, master of transportation of the Louisville, New Albany & Chicago road, has tendered, his resignation, to take effect as soon as his successor can be appointed. The annual meeting of the stockholders of the Louisville, New Albany &, Chicago road which will i e held on the 32th of this month, in New York, promises son. surprises in its results. Owing to the damaged and unsafe condition, of the C. & I. Air Line bridge across the Wabash at Delphi, trains only run es far* as Pittsburg, and tickets will not be sold, and freight will not be billed, beyond that point. An official of the Louisville, New Albany & Chicago road states that it will require thirty day of good weather to put the Chicago & Indianapolis Air-Line in shape to run trains over it at an ordinary speed. Much of the way, however, “only additional gravel is . needed, and a little surfacing up. On Wednesday the Louisville, New Albany & Chicago Railroad Company entered for record in the recorder’s office in Floyd county a mortgage for $1,000,000 to the Farmer’s Loan and Trust Company, New York, and W. M. Lewis, of New Albany, to secure the payment of its first mortgage bonds to that amount. Also, a mortgage by the same company for $600,000, to the Kentucky and Indiana Car Trust Company, covering all the euginus and cars of the L. N-A_& C. company. Indianapolis Jour.
