Spanish Philosophy.

• To-day, after my arrival at Victoria, I wei t to a shcemaker to get some repairs done to my boots. There was no-, body in the shop; the master was on the opposite side of the ib eet, smoking his cigarette. His shoulders were covered with a mant e, full of holes, and he looked like a beggar, but a Spanish beggar, appearing rather prbud than ashamed of hie poverty.
