First Anniversary— The Bap:ist Sunday school, although the youngest, is one of the most flourishing institutions in the place. During the past year, the first of its existence, it has had an average attendance of 56 scholars, and its membership now numbers a otal of 70. From the first it has seen the special aim cf its officers » gather in to the school some of many little waifs who had not before attended any Sunday School. Last Monday evening the school celebrated its first anniversary by a very successful New Year’s entertainment. The literary exercises were especially good; and a boat load of presents were destributed among the scholai-s and visitors.

The best present to make is a book case, side board, stand or nice chair; they can os seen at Hears. Babbolt— Mmn, By the Rev. A. Taylor, Jan. Ist, 1883, John B. Harbolt, and Lillian K.
