Powell, Sheriff; Frank J. Sears, Coroner, and Louis S. Alter* Surveyor, presented their bonds which were accepted and approved by the Board. Claims were allowed aggregating $1268 89. Tuesday-«.Claim3 were allowed aggregating $537 44, Mr. Wm. Jenes of Indianapolis, used Brown’s Iron Bitters with great benefit. He likes it better than any tonic he ever used.

The transit of venus was looked to with much interest by astrontftnera, as they proposed to calculate from it the distance of tho faith from the sun.
