- place as the committee on encampmont may determine, on Wednesday, Thursday aud Friday, September 27 28 and 29tb, 1882. No pains will be spared by the committee to make it worth the people’s while to ture out from far and near, to take it in. The '■ Boldiers of Lake county are cordially l invited to participate; and tne citizen i of Rensselaer are invited to co operate with the soldiers’ committees to mane it a credit to Old Jasper.

Simon Phillips, in charge of the County farm, presented us, yesterday, with specimens of cabbage, tomatoes and potatoes of the yield udder his management. We think the farm will not suffer while under his control and believe the inmates will bo well cared for. On last Saturday evening, August 19th. 1882, a Surprise-Party and Supper was given by the “Merry Harden” at the residence of A Leopold, in honor of Miss Rachel Leopold’s 15th birthday anniversary. A pleasant evening passed by all present.
