GREENBACK MEETING

The Hou. J. N. Speer will address the citizens of Remington on Thursday June 15th, 1882; Egypt, on Fri day June 16th; Renaselaer, Saturday, June 17th, and on Sunday, June 18th. will give his “Bible History” lecture; on Monday, the 19rh, at Pleasant Grove; and on Tuesday, June 20tb, in Wheatfield Township.—All at 2 o’clock unless otherwise ordered. We have been visited by many Democratic friends, and a considerable sprinkling of Republicans with independent proclivities, during the week. They unite in the - assurance that a Democratic ticket composed well known men, of good standing for honesty and capability can be elected beyond a doubt. So mote it be. A meeting will be held in the Court House to-morrow, Saturday evening at 7 o'clock, to consider arrangements for the appropriate celebrations of the anniversary of our National Independence.

We trust our Democratic friends in the several townships will take the necessary steps for calling their township Convention for the purpose of s lecting Delegates for the Democratic County Convention to meet at this place, June 24th next.
