CALL FOR BONDS.

Tlie Secretary of the Treasury Will Redeem $15,000,000 of Sixes. Washington, D. C., March 15. The following call for bonds has been issued by Secretary Folger : Notice is hereby given that the principal and accrued interest of the bonds below designated will be paid at the treasury of the United States on the 3d of May, 1882, and the interest will cease on that day, viz.: Registered bonds, acts July 17 and Aug. 5, 1861, continued during the pleasure of the Government under the terms of circular No. 42, dated April 11, 1881* to bear interest at the rate of B>£ per centum per annum, from July 1, 1881, as follows : SSO, No. 2,151 to No. 2,200, both inclusive; SIOO, No. 14.701 to No. 15,300, both inoiusive ; SSOO, No. 10.701 to No. 10,990, both inclusive; SI,OOO, No, 61,601 to No. 62,400, both inclusive ; $5,000 No. 16,851 to No. 16,950, both inclusive; 610,000, No. 34,951 to No. 35,500, both inclusive ; total, $5,000,000. The persons forwarding the bonds for redemption will observe the rules laid down in the previous calls. The Secretary also issued two other calls of $5,000,000 each, payable May 10 and 17 respectively. Following is a description of the bonds called, payable May 10 : Registered bonds of the same act as the above, S6O, No. 2,201 to No. 2,230, both inclusive ; SIOO, No. 61,301 to No. 51,500, both inclusive ; S6OO, No. 10,901 to No. 11,000, both inclusive ; SI,OOO, No. 52,301 to No. 53,050, both inclusive; $5,000, No. 16,951 to No. 17,050, both inclusive; SIO,OOO, No. 35,501 to No. 86.100, both inclusive.
