Renssxlakr, Ind., Jan. 17,1882. The Board of Commissioners of Jasper County, met pursuant to law for the organization of a County Board of Healtb for Jasper County. Present as such Board, Hons. Isaac D. Dunn and EliSha E, Rockwood, Commissioners of Jasper County, temporary officers were chosen as follows : President, Isaac D. Dunn and Secretary, Charles W. Coen. On motion George W. Burk, Commissioner. was el cted permanent President of the County Board of Health and O. C. Link M. D. permanent Secretary. The following motion prevailed: “That the Secretary of the County Board of Health be and he hereby is authorized and instructed to carry out the instinction of tne Secretary of the State Board of Health of the State of Indiana.”

SPECIAL BULES—VACCINATION 1 After February 20,188 Z, no person until after they have been successfully vaccinate l, shall be admitted into any public or private school or institution of learning within this county, either in the capacity of teaeh« er or pupil, and all persons admitted therein shall present to the principal thereof the certificate of some reputable physician as to the fact of their being successfully vaccinated. 2. Itshall bo the duty of all unvac cinated persons within th s county to be successfully vaccinated within sixty days from January 1,1882. And all un vaccinated persons coming into this State shall be required to be vaccinated within sixty days after com ing into the State. 8. All children born within this county shall be successfully (vaccinated within twelve months after birth. All vaccination shall be with reliable bovine viius. By order of Board. O. C. Link, Secretary Jasper County Board of Health. The following special rules have been adopted and issued by the State Board of Health:. All “rules and regulations” of the State Board of Health are mandatory, and by the provision of the law “establishing a State Board of Health,” etc., (See. 9) a fine of not less than $5 is incurred by any person who shall refuse or neglect to comply with the requirements of such “rules and regulations” each day of such “failure or refusal,” after proper notification, constituting a sesarat: offense. The local Boards of Health through out the State are hereby required to “promulgate and enforce” the rules herewith issued, and to enforce the penalty in case of “failure or refusal” of &ny person to comply with the requirements .hereof. A large Class in music is receiving instruction from Prof. Georg®, whose success as an instructor,’ is well established. Concert, next Wednesday evening. A very entertaining Concert was given by Prof. Leslie Wednesday evening.
