The Q. A. M. Club gave the first hop of the season, at Starr’s Hall, last Friday evening. About thirty couples were present and all enjoyed the trip of the light fantastic toe till the large hour of 12, when each one wended the way homeward, feeling It was “good to be there.* The club is a large one.composed of the best soci ■ ety, and intends having a social time every two weeks during the season.
