Garfield National Monument.

Cleveland, Ohio, Sept. 27. The Garfield Monument Committee, of Cleveland, have issued the following : To the People of the United Slates : The movement to secure funds for the erection of a monument over the grave of James A. Garfield is being responded to from all sections of tbecoumry, East, West, Nbrtb and South. In older to make it popular and successful it is desirable and will be. nccciwry for the citizens of the different States to organize. The committee hereby requests all national banks, private bankers, savings banks, oqd Postmasters to call Attention to the movement, by posting notices and otherwise, and to receive contributions, and to remit the same to the Second National Bank, of Cloveiaud, Ohio, which has been designated as treasurer of the fund; also to . sgnd the names and iiostofficc address of contributors. These names will all be recorded in the books, that they may fie preserved in the monument, All contribuions will be receipted for by the Second National Bank. J. H. Wade. H. B.
