MEMORIAL EXERCISES.
At the suggestion of Mrs. M. L. Spitler an impromptu meeting of the Ladies’ Literary Society, and others, was held in Starr’s Hall, Tuesday evening, May 24th. After adjournment of the meeting called to near reports from the various committees appointed to assist on Decoration Day, Monday, May 30, the L. L. S. resolved to give an entertainment in the evening, at the Opera House, with the following programme of exercises : Music, speaking, select reading, essays, and declamations. Principal Speakers—Hon.
