Soldiers Reunion.

Pursuant and to call delegates met at Rensselaer, and on motion it was decided to bold a reunion of the four counties, Benton, Newton Jaspe.i and While; to be held Sept. 29th and 30th. On motion, Judge Hammond, of Rensselaer was elected president, Dr. Win. Spencer, of Monticelio, treasurer, Dr. Hatch, of Kentland, secretary. On motion all ex-soldier editors residing in the four counties were elected assistant secretaries. On motion a committee of-arrangements consisting of two persons from each county was appointed. From Benton, Thomas Wilcox, A. V. Flint; Jasper, Dr. HB. Patton, F. W. Babcock; Newton, J. Skinner, J. W. Tillery; White, Roy B. Davidson, IT. Van Voorst; A committee to procure speakers consisting of one person from each county , composed of P. H. Rally? Dr. Hatch, Capt. Snyder and J. IL Biddle was appointed. On motion it was ordered that the committee on arrangements meet at Remington Saturday Sept. 4th, at 11 A. M. in Dr. Patton’s ofiiee. RESOLUTIONS. Resolved: That the committee oi arrangements be and are hereby authorized to appoint such auxilliary committees as they may deem necessary, and that they arc fully authorized to take such steps as they deem necessay to secure arms, equipments and music, and to fill any vacancies, and do all other things access, ry to make a good and successful reunion. Resolved: That the proceedings of this meeting be sent to each of the papers printed in the four counties, for publication. On motion the meeting adjourned to meet at Reining;on Sept. 29th. J. E.
