Illinois Democrats.

The Executive Committee of the Illinois Democratic Press Association held a meeting at Springfield on .'’he Bth of January, and promulgated a long address to the Democratic editors of the State. It urges that the party shall be thoroughly organized throughout the State, and that an aggressive campaign shall bo made for this year. As to the financial question, it says of the Democratic party: “It acknowledges the legal-tender money of tho United States as the * best currency for all purposes that is in nse, and opposes any legislation that shall impair its value, and insists that at an early day it may be made the only paper currency of the country, so long as any paper currency shall be retained.”
