NORMAL NOTES.
Come and visit the Normal. New students come in every day. The Normal is a decided success. It is not crushed or even injured by the aosenee of the ex-County Superintendent Frank Babcock, Esq., pays us frequent visits. We are always glad to see him. He says he intends visiting all the departments before the close of the term. Mr. Halstead visitel us in our training class. Parents generally should be deeply interested in the training of the instructors of their children, and should visit the Normal. The penmanship class, for the benefit of those not attending the Normal, is divided into two sections: the first meeting at 2, and the second at 5 p. M. All Invited to attend the class. A prize to be given Monday afternoon. Prof Allen’s class iti letter-writing and composition is doing a good work. Many teachers and seholais are deficient in this, one of the most practical and useful things in education. A good opportunity is given in this class for all to become proficient in punctuation, enpitalization, spelling, and arrangement of subject matter in all kinds of correspondence, and in composition.
