The new residence of Judge Hammond is rapidly assuming its contemplated shape and proportions. Prof. Allen has returned from Ohio, and is now imparting instruction to pupils connected with the Normal. Orwin is adding to his already extensive stock of Clocks, Watches, Jewelryf Musical Instruments, etc. We had the pleasure of meeting in Rensselaer, yesterday, W. S. He intends to fill up with desirable and standard goods, and continue in business. We make the correction with pleasure. The undersigned desires to trade his town propelty for a good farm. Races at Delphi, managed by tho Delphi Trotting Association, are announced for July 30th and 31st, 1879, at the Carroll County Fair Grounds. Cash premiums, amounting iu all to $575 00 will be paid. The I, D. &C. RR. will run excursion trains to the races each day. Stalls and bedding free for all horses that enter. Hotel accommodations ample, and charges reasonable. The grounds ace provided with buildings and a fine amphitheatre sufficient to accommodate 3000 people.
