Democrat: We are informed that the buffalo gnats have killed over 50 head of horses and mules recently, in Columbia township, this county. Such b thing was never before known in this section. A gentleman who has had expei i ence with these gnats in the South, says to take coal oil and old grease and mix, aud then with a woolen olo+h, swab out the nostrils and bathe behind the ears, under the jaws and the legs of horses and mules, will keep the gnats off them.
