Foster, late of Remington, Ind., and Miss Mary C. Damrow of this city, by the Rev. W. Sanford Gee, pastor of the First Baptist Church. This was one of the most brilliant little parties > Lincoln has presented for some time. The bride was one of Lincoln’s belles and a graduate of our State University. We are too old to give with accuracy the style of dress, but It was beautitul. The attire of the Groom, Mr. Foster, was faultless. Prominent among the party was our gallant D. H. Coover, from Remington. Although Mr. C. was supposed to be an incorrigible batch yet the smile and twinkle of his eye indicated that he was undergoing a change of mind; but the cuke, marble, fruit, jelly gold aud silver, that were brought to the World Office, is seldom excelled and never surpassed.—Lincold Neb., Ex. M. E. social at the parsonage tonight He who smiles at another's mistakes forgets his own ignorance. If there is anything in this prper that don’t suit you, go to the “devil” for satisfaction;
Prof. of last Summer’s notoriety came into onr office Tuesday last. He approach •<! the knight of the “stick” in the following manner: “Mr. Editor.” At this juncture we recognized the gentleman to be i person of superior intellect, find, from the expression of his eye we concluded at once that he w?s a delineator of character. We felt awed and for the moment, overcame, for we knew that he was reading our inmost thoughts. After a paintul pause he continued. “I am a delineator of character." and with ourguilty conscience which makes us all cowards we replied “Ye yes, that’s what [ see.” Another pause and the Prof, shut his left eye and exclaimed, “I see here (placing his hand upon our head) depicted the organ of cowardice; If a rattlesnake would bite at you, you would be sure to dodge.” We felt like striking the professor for this attack upon our bravery, but forbore and waited coming events. The Prof, continued after fumbling at some length with our head, “I see here the oigan of combatitiveness largely developed.” This was more than we could stand’ and rising from the chair, the Prof saw business iu our eye and started, shielding him self with his hand exclaimed “hold! 111. go and examine the head of A. McCov” His plug hat and arm> blouse vanish through our door. Whether he delineated the eharae ter of Mr. McCoy or not. we are un able to say, but hope that we may never see him again.

•Fresh Cranberries at Catt & Smoot’s Ayer’s Hair Vigor, For restoring Gray Hair to its natural Vitality and Color. A dressing' which is at once agreeX nWe, healthy, nnd effectual for presetving the hair. Foded or gray ha ir is soon restored to its original color, with the gloss and freshness of youth. Thin hair is thickened, falling hair checked, and baldness often, though not always, cured by its use. Nothin" can restore the hair where the follicles are destroyed, or the glands atrophied and decayed But such as remain can be saved for usefulness by this application. Instead of fouling the hair with a pasty sediment, it will keep it clean and vigorous Its occasional use will prevent the hair from turning gray or falling off, ' and consequently prevent baldness, i Free from those deleterious sul> stances which make some preparations dangerous and injurious to the hair, tlie Vigor can only benefit but not harm it. If wanted merely for a HAIR DRESSING, nothing else can be found so desirable. Containing neither oil nor dye, it does not soil white cambric, and yet lasts long on the hair, giving it a rich glossy lustre and a grateful perfume. PREPARED BY Dr. J. C.
