The Next Census.

The census of 1880 is now attracting a great deal of attention, especially as that census is to be the basis of a reapportionment of Bepresentatives in the lower branch of Congress. Since the census of 1870 the population in the Northwest has enormously increased, while that of the East and South, except Texas, has remained comparatively unchanged. Gen. Walker, Superintendent of the Censuses oppos-ad to enumerating population under the act of 1850.
