The London Lancet announces as the champion heavy weight Mr. William Campbell, of Newcastle on Tyne. He weighs over 728 pounds; is six feet four inches high, measures round the shoulders ninety-six inches, round the waist eighty-five inches, and around the calf of his leg thirty-five inches. He is only 22 years old. It is with difficulty that he keeps his present “low” weight. He was brought up a printer, but his size compelled him to discontinue, the type cases being crowded too far away for the “ reach ” of his arms.
