A Reminiscence
Lewistown (Til.) Democratic Sentinel. A recent. Altoona Tribune revives a reminiscence of old stage-coach times, beyond the memory of not a few of our present readers, t.husly: “The heaviest loud of humanity ever toted up the Juniata from Harrisburg to Lewistown, in a stage coach, consisted of B -njamin Bennett, of Bellefonte, Isaac Fisher, Esq., Adam Greer, and General James Burns, all of Lewistown. The quartette then weighed over one thousand pounds. These, with other passengers and baggage, made a huge loud ror four horses.” All of these heavy weights but Gen Burns have passed to the otiior shore. Tlie latter survives only as au invalid. for whose recovery!’ most regretfully we say it, there is little or no hope.
