The Difference.
Democracy has been in power in LoPorte county long enough to get county affairs in a deplorable condition, which wiil be remedied by the election es the entire Republican ticket there next fall.—Monticello Herald. County Treasurer Foster has paid off the la~t of the. county bonds, and he lias a little money left in the treasury to meet the current expenses of the coimty until the tuxes commence coming in again. The county is now’ entil'd}’ out of debt, and hereafter if any man has a claim’.;gmust it he can get his nrnney as soon as the bill is auuiiud. This is exactly whul the democrats promised would be done by. .be Ist of July, 1878. The taxes have been reduct d to a rate lower than before the war, and every pledge given to the people by the delnoerats of Laporte county has been redeemed.—Laporte Argus.
