Citizens of Jasper and White counties are respectfully invited to participate with us. Sunday Schools and Murphy organizations are also invited.— Hon. John Lee aud other prominent speakers will be present. Cotne One! Come All! CITIZENS OF MONON. The Fourth of July, 1878, will be celebrated by the citizens of Keener township, at Oakwood Grove. Orations, Music, Pif-Nic and Bowery Dances will be the order of the day. Orations by Eld. Lemuel Shortridge and M. F. Chilcote, Esq. There will be dancing under a tent. Everybody invited. Great preparations are being made at Monticello for a grand celebration. Many from these parts had designed participating at that place, but the failure of the '‘Narrow Gauge” to connect at that point places a veto on the proposition. Will there be any observance of the day in Rensselaer? By quick, energetic, concentrated, aetjou, and liberality, efforts to that end would be rewarded with success.

Elza Phillips, Esq., will orate at Mo. rocco on 4th of July next. Simon P. Thompson, Esq., is billed to orate at Oxford. On last Saturday evening G4’andma Hammond, mother of Judge H., when about to enter our residence, fell and b4oke hor right arm at the wi'ist.
