Demcratic County Convention.
Rensselaer, Ind., June 22,1878. The meeting was called to order by Dr. J. H. Loughridge. Madison Makeever was elected Chairman, and N. S. Bates, Secretary. On motion the following delegates were appointed to the Congressional Convention to be held at Valparaiso ou the 7th day of August, 1878: Alfred Glazebrook, John H. Pruitt. D. B. Miller, John G. Culp, Madison Makeever, David Gray, James Plunkett, Valentine Swartz and Henry A. Barkloy. Alternates—Thomas M. Jones, William Rich, John Tillett, William W. Kenton Frank L. Cotton, Nelson Randle, William Washburn and J. W. McEwen Delegates appointed to Judicial, Senatorial and Representative Conventions: T. O’Conner, J. S. Irwin, S. R. Cosby, T. J. McCoy, Wm. W. Kenton, Nelson Randle, Madison Makeever, M. P. Comer, Washington Scott, Jas. A. ,Kayes, Valentine Swartz, Adam Hess, Joseph Coson, L. Glazebrook. Alternates-N. S. Bates, Jas. Plunkett, Ira W.
