Knights of Pythias.

A Lodge of Knights of Pythias was instituted and the ofli ers Installed a* this place last Thursday evening by Deputy Grand Chancellor James L. Carnahan, cf Lafayette, assisted by the Lodge of that City. Capt. Carnahan brought with him a part of the drill corps of his Lodge, which took the first prize at the great drill contest of the Supreme Lodge of the World, at Cleveland last year. They made a grand appearance as they marched from the depot down Washington street, to Starr’s Hall, where the exercises were held. A large number of Knights from Delphi, Logansport, Mouticello, Remington and Kent laud were in attendance. The liens seiner Lodge starts out with a membership of 26 and gives promise of being oue of the permanent institutions of this place. The following named gentlemen were elected slficers; Chancellor Commander—Chas. H. Price. Vice Chancellor—M. F. Chiloote. Prelate—CharlesjC. Starr, Keeper of Records and Seal—Elza Phillips. Master of Arms—Benjamin Tuteur. Inner Guard—Frank B. Meyer. Outer Guard—Daniel B. Miller. The Knights return thanks to Mrs, qnet of flowers, sad also to Mbs Bertha Tuteur and Miss Baehel Baa* for supply of button-hoi* boquets. A. H. WIRT, the only Dentist in three counties that has a legal right to use hard rubber, the only reliable cheap base for Artificial Teeth, will return to Rensselaer on the Ist of August next, and remain two weeks.— Persons wishing his services will please call at their earliest convenience.
