Grand Masquerade Party.
Lust Tuesday evening, at the hospitable residence of Mr. Richard Patton, about three qua■ters of a mile east of town, was certainly a scene of merriment. The evening was line, the moon spreading her ha.oof light in dazzling brightness over the masquers as they marched, in sqnuds, to that rustic vi.la above mentioned. Topsy; Madge Hemphill, Coquet; ; Jennie Patton, Flirt; Emma Phillips, Gypsy Countess; Jessie Harding. Gypsy Muid; Della Cotton, Evangeline; Killa Cotton, Nun; Ammie Israel. A vote of thanks have been unanimously ten dered to the host aud hostess—Mr. and Mrs. Patton. The omission of names, though fully, if not more, important than some mentioned, must be overlooked, owing te the mismanagement of the committee. Taking all in all it was the most pleasant uftair ever given in our beautiful town. We must not forget to make mention that the repast consisted of everything the market could as ford, and w as hignly appreciated.
