I Will See How It Works--- NOTICE!
From the Ist of May I will sell goods for cash only, as it is the only way to compete and show purchasers where their interests lie. In this connection, too, I would request all persons indebted to me by book or oilier accounts to call and settle with cash or note. I will give reasonable time to those who call at once and settle up. Respectfully,:
A. LEOPOLD.
■■Had he (Mr. Scott) been a republican it would not, perhaps, have been necessary nearly a week a'terwards. to direct the auditor's attention to his omission to enter upon the records of the board of commissioners their action in the matter.”—Consul James in the Union. Somebody must have told you this, and if somebody bad further informed you that the omission was occasioned by the failure of the president or the board to finish their record so to have it properly recorded by the auditor, somebody would have told you the whole truth, instead of part of it. In conclusion we would state that Mr, Scott’s property is all in his own name, and he is responsible for any errors that might occur. If some body don’t wish to get mixed up in these controversies he mu ,t keep silent in the presence of the Union man.
