Resolutions of Condolence.
At a regular meeting of Prairie Lodge No. 125, F. & A. M, held at their hall in Rensselaer, on Saturday evening, April 6th, 1878, the following resolutions of condolence on the death of Brother John Miller were unanimously adopted: Whereas, It has become our duty to chronicle the death of one of our oldest and most honored members, Brother Johu Miller, who departed this life on the 18th day of March, A. D. 1875, A. L. 5878. It is Therefore Resolved, That while we humbly submit to the decrees of the Grand Master, our hearts are deeply saddened by the decease of our Brother, John Miller. Itesolved, That in his demise we recognize the solemn fact that “in the midst of life we tire in death,” and that the gloomy monitor of his lifeless clay is but an emblem of what we are all soon to become. Resolved, That we tender to the children and relations of tne deceased Brother our sympathy and condolence in their great affliction. Resolved, That a copy of these resolutions be presented to the children of our deceased Brother; that they be spread in full upon the records of our Lodge, and that the editors of the Democratic Sentinel and Union be requested to publish the same. Approved April 6th, 1878.
