COUNCIL MET Regular Session Held Last Evening Routine of Business Taken Up—All Questions Concerning Water Works Referred to Superintendent Fulk. The city council met last evening tn regular session,' Mayor Coffee being in the chair, and every com ciiaian being present. The minutes ~f the l»»t meeting were read by the clerk and upon motion were approved. The street and sewer -n-nittee then tiled their report vu the Fristoe sidewalk petition which, upon motion by Teeple, was accepted Teeple then moved that the city engineer be instructed to make grade plans for the same, wh h carried. Porter made amo tion that the depo.-i.ion of Dick Townsend be taken to use in the Humphreys case, which carrieed Cpuii a motion by Porter the mat ter f the Mersman water rent was referred to dhe water works com mittt»*e for adjustment, and that they report back to the council p rter then moved that the treas urer be instructed to take the same number of days in October and charge at the same rate as to the same number of days in November per day on the D B Erwin electric light account; motion carried pirter movrd to'allow the bill of Fulk, which carried. Fordcye moved that any matters coming voder the care of engineer Folk should be referred to him and in is., f his inability to serve to have some one in his place, carried. Vpjn motion by Teeple the insur ance policies on the oiler- as sub nutted by Agent Peterson were ac cepted. Porter then moved to •ni-et in continued session this evening, when the Colchin stwer matter would be disposed of. The following bills were then read and allowed: John Coffee, pay roll, 145.
