Gilead, Ohio, after spending a few weeks with her daughter, Mrs. W. H. Gillette. All members of the 160th Indiana are requested to meet this evening at the Riverside Livery Stables to make arranngements to attend the reunon to be held at Lafayette next week. E. M. Ray, who soon takes up his work with the Union Central Life Insurance company, has sold his township, road and school supply basinet to Elmer Neuenschwander, who will quit working for Baumgartner Bros. & Ci. A full account of the game will appear tomorrow. One of the largest trees in Northern Indiana was cut a few days ago on the farm of Eli Shull, in Koysar township, DeKalb county. It was a cottonwood which measured five feet and eight inches at the butt, and from it were cut seven twelvefoot logs and one ten-foot log below the fork and one fourteen-foot log above the fork. A crowd of ladies yesterday drove to the home of Miss Ellizilieth Voglewede and spent the day. A sumptuous dinner was served and a good time was had. Charlie Voglewede has his large display window beautifully decorated with a display of the famous Dorothy Dodd shoes for the fair sex. The window is one of the neatest decorated that has [been seen in the city for some time, and Mr. Voglewede is entitiled to much credit for his originality. Visitors from over Indiana to the State Fair, which opens at Indianapolis on J m her 11, will find that the steam and electric roads to that city have arranged for fine transportation facilities. The rate on the steam roads will lie one fare for the round trip, good all the week, from all pjints in the state and from Louisville, Ky. When visitors reach Indianapolis, they can take their choice of three fast, lines from the city to the fair grounds—the Illinois street, Contra! avenue or College avenue. As crowds require it, cars over the city lines will »rrive at the gates about a minute apart.. All the interurban lines running into Indianapolis will have special oars in operation.
