Mrs. Weaver and son of Dayton. Ohio., left todav for Bluffton, where they will visit relatives. While there they were guests of Mrs. E. Mann. Mrs. Rohstetn and Mrs M Crowley returned to their homes at Chicago this morning, after making a visit here with Mrs. McLean and other relatives. Mrs. H C Donnelly entertained sixteen ladies at the Burt hotel Tuesday afternoon. Progressive pedro was played. Mrs. William Kuebler and Mrs Daniel Niblick won first and Mrs. Meibers and Mrs. Ben Knapke second prizes All report a moat enjoyable time. L A. Devoss received a message from his partner at Houston. Texas, informing him that Texas was now quarantined against the yellow fever and that before he started home should get a health certificate. Mr. Devoss however, will not leave until after the fair.

For two days and three nights the oity police force of Galion were busily engaged in endeavoring to locate a horse whioh was missing from a livery stable in , that town, and which was supposed to have taen stolen. The animal was finally discovered in the cellar of an adjoining bnilding, where it had fallen down a stairway. It was uninjured by its imprisonment. Nero, who fiddled while Rome j was burning, has a rival in the ( person of Grover Cleveland Ryals, , aged seventeen, son of Chauncey ; H. Ryals, a farmer who lives near Shawville, up near Lorain. The family home burned several nights t ago and all that Grover was able to save was his phonograph, which he bore to the barn.
