Mrs. Eley went to Hartford City, where she will visit Mr. and Mrs. Dick Myers. Mr. and Mrs. Hambrick returned to Pleasant Mills from a shopping visit here. The Rebekah lodge will meet this evening at the usua] time and place. Business of importance. Mrs. Henry Treece, of Indianapolis, and Mrs. Ellizabeth Weber, of Findlay, Ohio, are guests of Mrs. Peter Schneider Boys and Girls—Remember, that if you enter your pony in the fair exhibit, you will get to take part in the two parades. Grandmother Roe and Tilden Lister de’ire to thank the many friends and neighbors for the sympathy and kindness extended them in their recent sorrow. Miss Harriet Moore, who recently returned from Phoenix, Arizona, in failing health, is recovering rapidly, and it will be pleasant news to her many friends to know that she will soon be her old self again.

It will be an all day entertainment, and con- , veyaneos will lie at Miss Basse's millinery store at eight o’clock to convey the members to the scene of entertainment. An enjoyable day is already being anticipated by those who will go. Mrs. Andrew Gottschalk of Berne, spent Saturday morning with the family of John Cring of west Walnut street, leaving at noon for Lima, Ohio, for a visit with her daughter Mrs. B. F. Welty. Mrs. Gottschalk will visit for several days with her brother, Philip Sheets at Botkin, Ohio, who is very 111, suffering with paralysis. —Portland Review.

Harry Moots returned this morn ing to his home at Bellefontaine, Ohio.'after making a visit here with Clayson Carrol. The invoice of the Rosenthal clothing stock was completed this morning and the Myers D.tiley company will open in a few -days. Mr. and JMrs. Joseph Smith returned last evening from Detroit, Mich., where Mr. Smith was tak ing a course of treatment for his health. Tne Bremerkainp delivery horse ♦ook a spurt this afternoon and the wagon to which he was hitched collided with C D. Kunkle's road wagon, hitched in front of the Holt house Drug Store. Asa result the wagon is minus two wheels. Dr. Miles Porter, of Fort Wayne, was here this afternoon in consultation with Drs. W. P. McMillen and J. S. Boyers, over the condition of Mrs. J. y. Neptune, who has been m poor health for several! weeks It is feared her illness is caused by tuliercnlosis or cancer of the liver, either of which disease would prove serious. A span of mules belonging to Loch, Dirkson & Co., and which are kept at the old fair grounds, mysteriously disappeared Saturday morning and Messrs. Cowan and Watson spent several hours searching for them. Later James Ramey found them asleep in the pest house. Cowan and Watson’ friends are insisting that they and the mules be vaccinated at once. The hew White restaurant opened in the Counningham room last evening, the Imperial orchestra furnishing a select program of music for the occasion During the evening a great many persons visited the place and were enthusiastic in their expressions of approval. Shortly after her confession she became unconscious, but died repeating her baby's name.
