These concerts are : being appreciated by the public, and are becoming most popular. B. church, rt ten o'clock, the cortege leaving the house at nine o'clock. Rev R.an will officiate, and interment will be made in the Wren cemetery. ,
On next Wednesday the strong Upland team will play in this city, the date having been secured this morning by Manager Reynolds. Upland has won the majority of her games thi♦ season, and two weeks ago played a sixteen inning game against Dunkirk the game resulting in a tie. Owing to the fact that several dates have been canceled the Rosenthlas will be off duty tomorrow and no game will be played. The mnageroent made extraordinary efforts last night to secure a team, but all seemed to have their dates filled. The team, however, will go to the park in the afternoon and practice for a short time Manager Bosse of the opera house has an iron clad contract with El Anderson, of "The Midnight Flyer" Co., that every piece of scenery carried for this big production will positively be used. This includes the grand illuminated scene, “Brooklyn at Night.” “The Mam- t mjth Ship Scene,” "The Realistic Ship Scene.” "The Realistic Ship Wieck,” "The Storm at Sea,” "The Adirondack Mountains in Winter," and the thrilling “Railroad Scene." J Cress & Beavers on yesterday sold a handsome monument to Mrs. Mray Swoveland, of Van Wert county, Ohio. The purchase price is withheld, but we will admit that it runs up into three figures. The Decatnr city council at a recent session voted unanimously for an ordinance which compels allcitizens who are using electrio lights from the city 's current to place in position meters at their own expanse for the measurement of the amount of current used by them. Tnis new ordinance was passed in order to protect the city on account of the day current being in operation That citv is one of the few cities in which municipal ownership has proved a success.— Bluffton News.
