The Decatur Shamrocks were treated to another little beating at Portland, when they met the Sluggers of that city and were beaten to the tune of ten to one. The boya are all loud in their praise of the treatment they received, and are desirous of making the trip soon agai i. They blame no'cne for the defeat except themselves, and honestly admit that they met a superior team. The I toys were out fielded and out hit and were lucky, yes mighty lucky, to secure the lone run they got, and then the game had traveled considerable distance before the home plate was crossed A return game may be played here in the near future.
