FINE ASCENSION Big Baloon Went lip—Miss Voight Made Pretty Drop. About one th<>u«iin«l jieople gathered liack of White’s oafe last even ing. and witnessed Miss Anna Voight make as pretty a baloon as cension as was witnessed here. It was about 7:15 when the cry came from the manager to ‘‘cut her loose,” and the big airship salied straight np for a distance of 100 feet, then struck an easterly wind and was oarried across the river. Miss Voight cut the pirachute when the baloon was np about 500 feet and it opened perfectly, atter failing quite a distance. She alighted just on the bank of the Tee pie gravel pit. It is claimed that this was Miss Voight s first, ascension and she certainly proved herself a nervy little Faloonist, as she was perfectly composed. The baloon was built in this city by William Gall, chef at White’s case. It is oertainly a wonderful one, being the largest ever seen here.
