Sam Martin left this morning for South Dakota, where he goes in search of health, as he is suffering with consumption. The advance agent for the “Humpty Dumpty” show arrvied this morning and is busily engaged in putting tip paper for the attraction Thursday evening. • Charles Patton, Dick Neptune, Floyd Brittson, Scott Hughes and H MoAlhaoney left last evening for Paragould, Arkansas, where they will look over some land. Lee Meyer and Martin Smith left today for Western Nebraska, having in charge a Belgium stallion and a full blooded Durham bull, consigned by Frisinger & Co. to their laige stock farm.

B Erwin went to Pleas ant Mills last evening, to be at the bedside of her mother, Mrs Marts, who is quite ill. Thirty Pathfinders are preparing to go to Mtrion next Tuesday even ing, where they will be guests of that organization. Mrs. Hockemeyer returned this morning to South Whitley, after being a guest of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Scheiman in this city. The Ladies’ Aid society of the Presbyerian church will meet at the home of Mrs. William Black burn, on South Third street, Thutfc day afternoon. All are invited. Gault bad died very suddenly at ten o clock last night at the home of h tr daughter, Mrs. Cornelia Pnrkar at Clinton, Illinois. She was an aunt to James and H. A. Mrs. Eli Wagner and children left this place yesterday morning for Lisbon, North Dakota, where they expect to make their future home. Mr. Wagner left Mon roe with the car of goods last week, but the family did not leave as was stated in Jlast week's News.
