Mrs. Ezra Cutting, whois quite ill from an attack of jaundice. Mrs. Charles Meyers, who has been quite ill for several days, is re ported considerably better today, and hopes are entertained fora speedy ni covery, The Yyung Matrons’ club met yesterday afternoon with Mrs. Harry Moltz, and a most delightful time was had. Next Wednesday at nine o'olook the Lenten season will commence in the St. Mary ’s church, and will convene nntil Easter Sunday. This will restrict all members who observe the same strictly, to refrain from all sosial functions and live up to all requirements laid down daring this season.

E. White, of Gas City stating he would arrive in this city tomorrow, and in all probability to preach tomorrow evening at the Methodisit church. James Bain, the popular Monroe street meat man, is making a grea t improvment in hie place of business by putting in a new up to date cooler and otherwise arranging his place of business to make the same more attractive and commodious. Walter Rosenthal returned this morning, from Toledo, Ohio, where he accepted a position as traveling salesman for a hardware store, assuming his new duties May the first. A ' great demand is being made for tickets and a large crowd will no doubt be in attendance.
