TO FILE SUIT Bluffton People Will Replevin Factory Case Will be Filed Here Which Futtlwr Complicates the Berne Car nin< Company Tangle. The Blnftton News said Inst even ing: Suit to replevin some machin ery loaned to O. R. Bowman for the Berne Canning Co. will be brought by Hale & Markley for the Blnffton Canning Co., in the Adams circuit c >urt The suit probably means that the sale of the Blnffton factory last fall will be declared off and the ■ factory thrown back onto the hands lof the stockholders. (). R. Bowman. of Hancock county, bought 1 the factory here last Octob t and paid down on tho purchase $10,500. Ho was then loaned some* of the corn canning machinery for hi* plant at B'rne. Creditors of the B erne factory which Bowman promoted, have secured judgments against Bowman and his company and the Adams county sheriff has seized their building and machin ery. among the latter the machinery belonging to the Bluffton company. While Berne people complain that Bowman did not act in good faith with them in starting the factory, there he is entitled to a great deal of consideration on account of the illness of his wife. She was taken ill with cancer in October and has been slowly dying since that time and he has been compelled to stay at her liedside all of that time. He has written to Hale A- Markley frequently assuring them th it he will be here as «son as able to close np tho deal and that he will soon have in operation the factories here and at Berne. If he is unable to do so. however, the old Bluffton Canning Co. will still have their plant to sell at receiver s sale, and the $1,050 Bowman paid for the option. The stork disappears ana we look into the cradle and behold a male child. After running tbe gauntlet of measles, mumps and chiokenjiox he enters school. At the age of ten he is a redheaded, freckle facedjboy and the terror of the neighborhood. At the age of twelve he is an apprentice io a printing office. At eighteen he has acquired two oises of long primer and an army press, and he is the editor of a county newspaper. At twenty he is mar ried. At thirty he is bald headed, stoop shouldered and the father of a large family. At thirty-five he is a corpse in a cheap pine coffin, and as 500 delinquent subscribers Hie. past his bier for the Inst look, they r i beaid to say ; “He was a good fellow, but he could nt save his money."
