Charles Knapke returned to La-' fayette last evening to resume his studios in Purdue college. Miss Florence Jonhson went to Geneva today, to make a few days’ visit with her sister, Mrs. Wells. The Bon Ton club will meet this evening with Miss Agnes Mylott, and a fine time will be in order. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Rice arrived this morning from Berne, and are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Mell Rice. Miss Blanch Mielrenhour returned to Delphos today. While here she was the guest of Miss Bid Dorwin. Mrs. Daniels returned to Converse today, after making a pleasant visit here with her daughter, Mrs. C- C. Schafer. Chris Strebe made a business trip to Mendon, Mich., this morning, in the interest of the Grand Rapids railroad. Clarence and Lawrence Ayres returned to Grand Rapids last evening. W’hile here they were the guests of their parents. Messrs. Floyd Shaw, David Andrews, Charles Reid and Newton Anderson went to Kokomo today, in the interest of Lyman Bros. John Drake returned today from Jonesboro, where he was visiting with rela‘ives, being called home, owing to the illness of his wife. The subject tonight at the Meth I odist church is “Missions —Home andFoteign.” The subject is one about which there is much latitude, and something of interest is expected. Large crowds continue, thus showing a great interest in the meetings. The January section of the La- ' dies' Aid society of the Presbyterian church will open an exchange early next Sa’nrday morning at the mil linery store of Mrs Alice Peterson. D., where she will assume her new duties as music instructor in one of the state institutions. The installaion of the officers of the G. A. R. and W. R. C. will be held at the C. B. L. hall on the Studabaker block this evening at 7 o’clock. The.l. W. Place company will begin their ice harvest tomorrow , mormng. Men desiring should apply early at the ice cream factory on Fornax street. The meetings at the Presbyterian i church are being well attended, and much interest is manifested . Rev.
