trade at home — *■—«. - Decatar Merchants Deserves Your Holiday Easiness A representative from Toledo 1 was in our city yesterday arranging ' for an excursion to be run to that place for the benefits of the merchants offering special inducements |to excursionists. These excursions are ill right in away, but when ■ - t o. mes to inducing people to leave their own city to do their puroharng, it is wrong. The object is

Cincinnati, Dec to After dying I down for nearly a week, rumors concerning the Erie-C. H. & D. is needless to say, was not Mr. Zimmerman, but he is as closely in Much with New York financial circles as that gentleman There ' are many hings which can not he explained on any theory excepting I that some large deal is on. First, there is the heavy buying of Erie , ’took u iv, ok ago and the sudden i boom in prices, whicii have not 1 since declined. No ordinary cause would so deeply affect un otherwise stagnant stock. C. A Parke., late j vice president of the C., H.
