Sam Simison. of Berne, was a business caller to our city last evening. Rudolph Linnemeyer made a business trip to Fort Wayne this morning. JohnLaohot, of Berne, was a business caller to our city last evening. Miss Lillie Goldner went to Fort Wayne this morning to spend a few days with frie is. Mrs. Barrett returned to South Bend this morning. While here she was the guest of friends. Miss Leona Stalter went to Fort Wayne this morning to make a few days’ visit with relatives. Mrs. Knight returned this morning to Kalamazoo, Mich. While here she was the guest of relatives. Dr. Thain retained to Fort Wayne last evening. He was attending to his patients in this city. Mr. and Mrs. C. K. Foughty went to Fort Wayne this morning to attend the funeral of J R. Thompson. Abraham Eberly returned last evening to Peru. While here he was the guest of his son, Father Eberly. A. T. Vail returned to Fort Wayne this morning. While here he was attending to timber business. Mr. and Mrs. John Niblick leturned last evening from Berne, where they were looking after oil business. Miss Lena Weber returned to Fort Wayne this morning. While here she was visiting with her relatives. Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Pifer went to Fort Wayne this morning to visit for a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Harding. J. H. Tucker of rural route five, has sold his farm, being paid a fancy price for the same. He will continue to reside in this county, but is unable at this time to state what he will do.
Alex Beall, of Willshire, was here today on a visit. W H. Reed, of Fort Wayne, was a visitor in this city today. Will Heaston, of Geneva, was a business visitor here toady. P. Baumgartner, of Berne, was a business visitor here today. Andrew of Berne, was attending business here today. Mrs. McLean went to Simms, Ohio, today, to make a short visit with friends. Mrs. O. G. Hall returned to Bluff ton today. While here she was a guest of friends. Miss Stella Barber returned today from Fort Wayne, whore she was visiting with relatives. John Winans went to Bluffton today, where he has accepted a position in a jewelry store. Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Vesey arrived today from Fort Wayne, and are the guests of Mrs. A. B. Morrison. The “Old Arkansaw company went to Van Wert today, where they show this evening. The company is a good one. Charley Ahr has traded his trotting horse for a Peroheron stallicn, a dandy, that two years ago took the first premium at the Chicago Stock show. James Stodgill, of Willshire, was a business visitor here today. Mrs. John Wilkie and family arrived today from Delphos, and are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. G. Kintz. The engine of local No. 23 went “dead” here last evening, caused by a leaky boiler, which put out the fire. A relief engine from Delphos was sent, and here to assist the train to do its regular v ?rk. Two representatives of the Fort Wayne News were in this city today, looking over the interurban, taking pictures of the places of interest. A complete write-up of this company will appear in the News in a fwe days.

Bremerktunp and Mrs. Ben Knapke left today for Newport, Ky., lieing called there owing to the death of their sister. Lost—A ten-dollar bill, between Adams County Bank and Adams street. Finder return to Nettie Moses and receive reward. Born—this morning, to Mr. and Mrs. Dick Boyd—a big elevenpound boy, and Dick is the happiest man in town. He says he will back this boy against any one his size and age in the city. Both mother and babe doing well. Every kid in town and some of the older chaps at pre. mt are enjoying themselves skating. The river and nearby creeks and ponds are frozen over and afford great facilities in this line. No doubt some who go do not feel so young as they used to be, especially the next morning.
