Hager, night clerk at the Burt House, has resigned his posi tion and leaves today for his home at Danville, Illinois Shaffer Peterson, the well-known attorney, who has been quite sick for several days, was able to be at court this morning. Newton Steven, Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Baxter, Mr. and Mta. Sherman Ruch and Ralph Knoff left today for Wilton. Minnesota, where they will enter a homestead. Charles Peterson arrived today from Columbia Citv, and is the guest of his parents. Charles is connected with the Columbia City Mail at that place. The Decatur Hickorys were defeated yesterday at Kingsland by a score of twelve to eleven in ten nnings. The game was replete with brilliant plays, hut the team lost, owing to numerous errors, only twelve being charged against them.
