Mrs. Leisure is visiting at Fort Wayne today. George Gay returned to Lima, Ohio, this morning. Judge Heller was a business visitor at Fort, Wayne today. 2 Fted Reppert ye sterday sold a horse to M. E. Hutton at Geneva. The carpenters and tinners aie putting on a new roof on Thomas Archbold's home. Mrs. Martha Pden and son, of Union City, after visiting here went to Boliver, Ind., today. Mrs. William Guy, of Arkaloosa, i Ark., returned home this morn ing. She has been visiting the Gay and Green families here. A fair-sized audience saw “A Midnight Flyer” at the opera house last night. The show was not extra but the specialties were good, j German services will be held at the Zion Lutheran church on Eleventh street Sunday afternoon at two o’clock Rev. Klausing will preach. Everybody invited. The chilly blasts of today remind us of the severe weather of lust winter. Most people have scarcely thawed out yet and here it is time for another load of coal. Al Foreman, who has suffered no end of miseries, has gone to Phoenix, Arizona, for the betterment of his health. Here’s hoping he may succeed in regaining it. Mrs. Thornes and son, of North Baltimore, after having met old acquaintances at the family reunion of the Green and Gay families, returned this morning to their home. The peach season is on and they are scarce. Our merchants have secured a few and the wise housekeeper will buy while they can, for a few days more will close out the crop, which is said to be only onetenth of the usual amount. Decatur people were extremely well pleased with “Dorothv,” the comic opera that appeared there Saturday night. The prices were reduced there to 35 and 50 cents so that every one could get in which probably accounts for the show's p qmlarity. A number of Decatur young men became smitten with the long limbed pelican who played the part of Dorothy s cousin and followed the show to Winchester. —Bluffton News.

Adam Mason and John M. Holloway of Geneva, were today, conferring with several members of Sam Henry Post, relative to a meeting already called at Berne on October 5. at which time an Adams county association will be formed, and officers then elected. It is the purpose to have such an association for the purpose of yearly social meetings. and at this first, one the Grand Army comraandorlhns signified his intention of being present.
