Mrs. Allen Porter returned to Indianapolis this morning, after visiting here for a short time with Mr. and Mrs. H. S.Porter. The Adams circuit court was not in session today, Judge Erwin being one of Decatur's representatives at the congressional convention at Portland. Jesse D. Bill went to Fort Wayne this morning, where he will pass examination to tie admitted to the United States navy. From Fort Wayne ho expects to be sent east to the coast, where he will be assigned to his regular duties. He will s rve four years before returning to Decatur again.

While here they were attending to business Miss Della Newport returned to Fort Wayne today, after a visit in this city with friends. Mrs. Sarah Miller returned today from Oden, Mich., where she was spending the summer. Mrs. Frank Stone and son arrived today from Fort Wayne and are guests of James H. Stone. D. L. Meyers and two daughter, Mabel and Ethel, left last evening for St. Louis, where they will take in the fair. From there they will go to Fort Scott, Kansas, where they expect to make their future home. Mr. Meyers was formerly a resident of this city. , Attorney Otto G. Allen of Marion, i was in the city todoy accompanied by 5 Charles Combs and H. A. Harris, and 6 are busy advertising the Pathfinders j excursion to Toledo and Detroit next 1 Sunday, September 11. The fare is 3 51.50 to Toledo and 82.00 to Detroit for the round trip.
