Mrs. Rosa Count arrived from Spencerville today, and is the guest of Mr. and Mis Todd. Mrs. Chris Strebe and daughter went to Huntertown this morning o attend the funeral ot Jacob Knell. Mrs. C. L. Walters and son of Midland, Mich., arrived this morning and are guests of B. E. Suttles. Frank Pio, a former resident of this city, but now located at Fort Wayne, is here today attending the fair. Mrs. Bal! and daughter arrived today from Van Wert, and are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. L. N. Grandstaff at Monmouth. Mrs. O. Tom Peterson and Harry McPhe e went to Portland this morning to work for J. H. Davis. John Jones, who employed as a stone mason by A. Tubman, on the interurban line, came to town last evening and endeavored to consume all the “booze” in town. He was picked up by Marshal Cordua and lodged in jail. This morning he was brought before Mayor Coffee, admitted his guilt and was fined $9,330 and went to I jail.
